Health Lodge Assistant
Position Overview
The Health Lodge Assistant at Trout is responsible for assisting our volunteer health professionals in the administration and care of campers and staff. They work under the direction of the Camp Director and float between the health lodges located at one of Trout's three campuses – Wild Woods, The Point, or Timber Ridge. They are trained on best practices.

This is an entry-level, summer-only role. Prior camp experience is helpful but not required, A successful Health Lodge Assistant must demonstrate a compelling interest in and affinity for health care. An initiative to learn, grow, balance multiple tasks and meet daily benchmarks is required in this role.
Who You Are:

- An individual working in or interested in a career in the health field
- An individual who can be trusted to follow established rules, policies, and procedures when providing care
- A person who measures productivity by the number of people they encourage and have a daily impact on
- A person with a valid driver's licensed with no more than one moving violation in the last year
- A young leader who is looking to match their calling as a follower of Jesus with their professional skills and talents
What You'll Do:
- Attend staff training (Begins late May)
- Learn and be trained on HIPPA rules
- Learn and trained on accessing medical records through our database systems
- Book health appointments for campers and staff at the direction of our camp volunteer health staff
- Assist our health professionals in the administration labeling, and safe keeping of camper medications
- Assist with camper exit and entrance day responsibilities as assigned
- Drive campers and staff to medical appointments
- Trained to drive camp wagons and pontoon boats as assigned
- Check in with and deliver meals to quarantined staff as needed
