Adventure Area Specialist
Position Overview
Summer Adventure Staff are responsible for safely and effectively administering adventure activities for our summer campers and staff. You will lead adventure based activitie areas such as high and low ropes, climbing, zip line, team initiatives, mountain biking and riflery. Adventure staff members supervise and teach activities at Trout. Applicants must be skilled in some of the above areas.

Lake Camps as an adventure staff member could be that place.
This is an entry-level, summer-only role. An initiative to learn and grow is required to be successful.
Who You Are:
- A committed Christ-follower who displays a commitment and attitude of reflecting Jesus
- A diligent servant who is energized by team fellowship & collaboration
- An individual who can be trusted to follow established rules, policies, and procedures to keep staff and campers safe
- A person who prefers to work outdoors with their hands versus working behind a desk or staring at a screen
What You'll Do:
- Attend staff training (Begins late May)
- Maintain maintenance and inspection logs on all assigned activity areas
- You will be trained to safely facilitate adventure-related activities (zip lines, climbing walls, high ropes activities, riflery, etc.)
- Ride bikes
- Tie knots, belay climbers, & assist campers and staff with the fitting of helmets & harnesses
- Continuously monitor, identify and report hazards and safety concerns
- Facilitate activity briefings and debriefings
- Set up and take down, clean, inventory and organize event areas between seasons
- Drive camp vehicles including cars, vans, & wagons
- Assist in evening program activities including serving as a cabin buddy, ministy teams, and camp-wide games

- You've built something in the woods
- You're the friend that plans the spring break trip, capturing all the logistics and details
- A former Trout camper or staff member
