Program Events Coordinator

Position Overview

The Program Events Coordinators are generally responsible for the behind-the-scenes planning, up-front leadership, and coordination of all camp-wide activities for their assigned camp under the direction of their Program Director.

You love Jesus. You trust the Bible as God's Word. And you don't just want a "summer job" where you punch in and punch out. You want to develop your skills and grow in your walk with Christ in an awesome community of peers who can support and encourage you.

You're motivated to tell the story of Jesus in creative ways that points kids & teens to a relationship with Him. All you've been missing is a place to put it all together. This summer on staff at Trout Lake Camps as a Program Events Coordinator could be that place.

This is an entry-level, summer-only role. An initiative to learn and grow is required to be successful.

Who You Are:

  • A committed Christ-follower who displays a commitment and attitude of reflecting Jesus
  • A diligent servant who is energized by team fellowship & collaboration
  • An individual who can be trusted to follow established rules, policies, and procedures to keep staff and campers safe
  • A person who prefers outdoor work with their hands versus working behind a desk or staring at screen
  • A person with a valid driver's licensed with no more than one moving violation in the last year
  • A person who gravitates and thrives towards the limelight who isn't intimated by speaking in front of large groups

What You'll Do:

  • Attend staff training (begins late May)
  • Design and implement camp-wide activities, games, and skits
  • Manage camp staff who assist in skits, games, and activities
  • Communicate daily from the stage schedule information, camp rules, skit debriefs, worship, and prayer times
  • Drive camp vehicles including cars, vans, wagons, and pontoon boats
  • Assist in other program areas of need including serving as a cabin buddy, chapel times, camp-wide games, and opening & closing day responsibilities

  • You have a tremendous heart for seeing camp impact the lives of students
  • You know how to throw a party
  • A former Trout camper or staff member
