Don’t just Work this Summer.
Live. Grow. & Play.
Being on Summer Staff is an adventure all it’s own. Each staff member lives and works alongside 160+ other summer staff, 40+ Full Time Staff, 100+ Weekly Volunteers in one of our three campuses - Wild Woods, The Point, or Timber Ridge. Don’t like the “Big Camp” vibe? Each staff works as a member of a smaller team of 5-60 people. We have a unique community that allows you to get to know lots of people and ‘be known’ and ‘go deep’ with a select few.
Staff Positions fall into three different categories: Cabin Leaders, Program, and Support. Each position has it’s own responsibilities but all staff work together to introduce kids to the Gospel of Jesus and encourage them to take the “next step” in their relationship with Him. All staff can expect to assist in other areas when needed.
Program and Support staff positions additionally serve as “Cabin Buddies” to a group of boys or girls assisting the assigned Cabin Leader as their primary job allows.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are you looking for from summer camp staff?
We are looking for hard workers—people who need to "punch a clock" need not apply. All-in, Trout staff members view their jobs as their mission rather than their job. They have a "can-do" attitude and are the first to ask, "How can I help?" In short, we need responsible people who love kids, believe in the Bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus. All that being said, we're here to have fun too—so we don't take ourselves too seriously.
What does housing look like?
Cabin Leaders live with a group of their assigned campers (same gender) for a week of camp. Other camp staff live in dorm-styled cabins at their assigned camp with 3-14 other summer staff also by gender.
What are important dates/deadlines?
Ideally, we are looking to solidify the following leadership positions as soon as the second week of January for the following summer:
• Program Events Coordinators
• Cabin Coordinators
• Disciple Team Coordinators
• Music & Chapel Coordinators
• Waterfront Coordinator (Lifeguard)
• Horsemanship Coordinator
Interested Leadership applicants should have completed their interview and application no later than January 10th
Some roles tend to fill quicker than others so if you see a great role, get your application in as soon as possible
What does the time commitment look like?
The impact of the Trout summer staff experience is best when you commit to
most of the summer.
Many positions require in-depth training at Staff Training at the end of May & early June AND a commitment to work at least 8 camp weeks.
We offer a $500 agreement bonus to any summer staff that works at least 8 camp weeks, attends staff training in early June, and maintains their commitment to dates.
However, we do hire short-term summer staff in some positions (Cabin Leading, Housekeeping, & Kitchen to name a few), but the minimum commitment is at least ONE full camp week (Sunday – Saturday)
