Volunteers
(Ages 18+)
Every year hundreds of volunteers serve at Trout Lake Camps. They range in age from junior high students to 90-year-old retirees. Camp at Trout Lake has happened going back to 1947 thanks to donations of time, skill and sweat. Every one of those volunteers has joined a legacy that goes back to the sacrifices and contributions of the very first volunteers who made this camp a reality.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started to volunteer at Trout?
It helps us to know exactly what skills you have to offer and how much time you have. Taking a look above will give you an idea of where our biggest needs are and what sort of time commitment we are looking for.
Once you have an idea of where are needs are and what area(s) you are most interested in, then you can start the process by filling out a volunteer application.
Is there Onsite Housing and meals provided?
Yes, if you are accepted and dates confirmed, housing and meals will be provided during the duration of your time volunteering. However, housing types and accommodations can vary depending on the season, which will be discussed with you after we receive your application.
Do you have Housing for me and my family?
Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. Housing types and accommodations can vary depending on the season, which will be discussed with you after we receive your application.
What is involved in the Volunteer Application Process?
Because we are a camp that cares for kids and teens, proper screening of all adults working on grounds is important, which is why we ask for a completed application, references, background checks, and Ministry Safe Online Training. We don't do this to make volunteering cumbersome. We do this to make sure we are protecting our campers.
Is there a map of camp?
Yes! You can view our camp map here.
