Music and Chapel Coordinator

Position Overview

Music & Chapel Coordinators are responsible for preparing, organizing, and leading camp worship teams for worship events at Trout.

Music & Chapel Coordinators work under the direction of their site full-time Program Directors and are assigned to one of our three campuses – Wild Woods, The Point, or Timber Ridge. They do not shy away from the "lime-light" or the microphone and are comfortable leading age-specific worship songs whether as a single worship leader or in a team environment.

You want to develop your skills and grow in your walk with Christ in an awesome community of peers who can support and encourage you. You want to put in the work and effort required to run impactful camp chapel sessions and worship that engages kids and students in what it means to worship the Creator of the universe.

What You'll Do:

  • Attend Staff Training (begins late May)
  • Sing and play a lead instrument in all chapel sessions and lead daily worship team practices
  • Create, develop, and prepare daily chapel sessions that provide foundational connections between Jesus and kids / teens
  • Create, develop, set up, and clean up your assigned camp chapel spaces
  • Mix soundboards and manage camp A/V equipment like speakers, monitors, cables, direct boxes, etc.
  • Develop chapel teams amongst the camp staff at your assigned camp
  • Lead camp worship sessions with campers and staff (rooms 100-300 people)
  • Create presentation and worship slides for the camp speaker and your worship set list
  • Share your testimony in Jesus with campers and staff
  • Trained to drive camp wagons and pontoon boats as needed
  • Assist in program activities including serving as a cabin buddy, ministry teams, and weekend chapel services
